Frequently Asked Questions

You have absolute flexibility and freedom as a JOD member. You choose when you want to work, and where you want to work. You’re not tied down by daily/weekly fixed rosters. You get to select from a wide variety of hiring companies, locations and job types.

On your home page, click on the tab that says”Upcoming Jobs”. Click on the job you are keen on to check the job details, if you are interested, click “Apply”. Read the Agreement and if you agree to the terms of the contract, click “I Agree”. Then wait for a notification to update you on the status of your job application.

JOD pays you on behalf of these hiring companies. Once you have clocked out of a job, you just need to indicate your bank account details accurately and JOD will process your payment the next day.

JOD provides real-time job offers, meaning that the jobs can either be for tomorrow or even right up to the next hour! If you receive a job notification for a job that will start in the next hour, and you are interested to take it up, simply apply for it on the app and you will be updated on the status of your application very quickly!

JOD Job Cancellation Policy:

1. When does the cancellation policy take effect?

Jobs canceled within 48hrs of the actual Job Start time will be subjected to the job cancellation policy.

2. What happens if I cancel a job within 48hrs of the Job Start Time without a valid reason?

Your account will be suspended/terminated depending on your past records with us.

3. What happens if I cancel the job and I have a valid reason and documentary proof?

Email your reason and documentary proof of absence to halo@jodapp.com immediately after canceling a job to avoid account suspension/termination.

Valid reasons for job cancellations:

We will accept the following reasons and you will need to provide the necessary documentary proof:

  • Natural disasters (lightning strikes, fires, storms and floods)

  • Traffic accident

  • Illness/Inability to work

  • Compassionate grounds

If it is not a natural disaster, please submit proof of the following documents. If you do not submit the documents, we will deem your cancellation as one without a valid reason

2. Traffic accident – Traffic accident certificate

3. Inability to work – Doctor’s medical certificate

4. Compassionate grounds – Copy of the death certificate, advertisement of death notice if there is a name mention of you.

How do I submit the documents?

Please take a photo of the relevant documents and email our member support team at halo@jodapp.com promptly after cancellation if possible, to avoid account suspension/termination.

It takes between 10-14 days for the reward to be paid to you from the date of job completion of your referred friend.
